SYMPTOMSThe following symptoms may occur when you install Microsoft Windows
XP: - The Setup program highlights a hidden partition as a partition that is available for the Windows XP installation.
- The Setup program stops responding.
- You receive a low disk space error.
Note An installed program or the computer manufacturer may create and then use a hidden partition for diagnostic tools or for hard disk drive (HDD) recovery. CAUSEBy default, the text-mode part of the Windows XP Setup program highlights a hidden partition as an unknown partition to which no drive letter is assigned. If this hidden partition has insufficient disk space for the Windows XP installation, you receive a low disk space error.WORKAROUNDTo work around this issue, select another partition and then
