You receive an "Insert Writable Media" error message when you try to use the Create CD/DVD experience to write to a DVD (896038)

SYMPTOMS
After you insert a blank DVD into the recordable DVD drive of a Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005-based computer, you may receive the following error message when you try to use the Create CD/DVD experience to write to the DVD:
Insert Writable Media CAUSE
This issue may occur because the DVD drive does not support the type of DVD that you inserted. For example, some drives support only DVD+R or DVD-R media. These drives do not detect DVD+RW or DVD-RW media. See your hardware documentation for more information about the type of DVD media that your DVD drive supports.RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, use the type of DVD that your drive supports. For example, make sure that you use a DVD-RW disc in a drive that supports DVD-RW.
