Very few clip art items are available in the results box of the Clip Art task pane in Office 2003 or in Office XP (895089)

RESOLUTION

To access the complete collections of clip art for Office 2003 and for Office XP, you must enable your Office program to search the Office Online Web site.

To search for clip art, follow the steps in the "Search for clip art on the Microsoft Office Online Web site" section. If you want to store clip art locally, follow the steps in the "Store clip art locally" section.

Note Because there are several versions of Microsoft Windows, the following steps may be different on your computer. If they are, see your product documentation to complete these steps.

Search for clip art on the Microsoft Office Online Web site

1. Make sure that your computer is connected to the Internet.
2. Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Microsoft Office, and then click the program that you want to use clip art in. For example, click Microsoft Office Word 2003.
3. On the Insert menu, point to Picture, and then click Clip Art.
4. In the Clip Art task pane that is displayed on the right, use one of the following procedures:
   • In the Search in list, click to select the Everywhere check box.
   • In the Search in list, click Web Collections. If you want to search all the sub-categories under Web Collections, click to select the Web Collections check box two times.
     
     Note If you click to select the Web Collections check box one time, you will see a single check box with a check mark. If you click to select the Web Collections check box again, you will see overlapping outlines of multiple check boxes behind the first check box. This indicates that all subcategories under Web Collections are selected.
5. In the Results should be list, click to select the Clip Art check box.
6. In the Search for box, type the topic that you want to search for, and then click Go. For example, type business.

Store clip art locally

You can make the clip art that find on the Office Online Web site available to you locally. For example, to store a clip art item in your Favorites folder in My Collections, follow these steps:

1. Right-click the clip art item that you want to store, and then click Make Available Offline.
   
   The shortcut menu is context-sensitive. The shortcut menu displays the Make available Offline command for items that are stored on the Web.
2. Click Favorites, and then click OK. Wait for the Copying clips to Favorites progress bar to be completed.
