This article lists the minimum system requirements for Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2005.

Microsoft Windows

  • To run the Windows Console or the Live Meeting Add-ins, your computer must be running one of the following:
    • Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition
    • Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition
    • Microsoft Windows XP Professional Edition
    • Microsoft Windows 2000 Server
    • Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional Edition
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 Service Pack 1 (SP1) or a later version, or Netscape 7.1.

    Note Microsoft Windows 98 users and Netscape 7.2 users can access meetings by using the Browser Console. However, these users cannot share documents during a meeting.
  • Microsoft Windows Media Player 9 is required to replay Live Meeting 2005 recordings. Microsoft Windows Media Player 10 is required if you want to replay these recordings by using the Replay Wrapper to display the slide list.
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader 6.0.2 or a later version is required to print to a .pdf file.

Apple Macintosh

  • Apple Mac OS X 10.3.
  • Safari 1.2 or a later version.
  • Sun Java Runtime Environment 1.4.2 or a later version is required to access meetings in Live Meeting 2005 by using the Java-based Browser Console.
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader 6.0.2 or a later version is required to print to a .pdf file.
Note The Live Meeting Add-ins and the Live Meeting replay-recording format are not compatible with the Macintosh.

Sun Solaris

  • Sun Solaris 9 or a later version
  • Netscape 7 or a later version
  • Sun Java Runtime Environment 1.4.2 or a later version is required to access meetings in Live Meeting 2005 by using the Java-based Browser Console.
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader 6.0.2 or a later version is required to print to a .pdf file.
Note The Live Meeting Add-ins and the Live Meeting replay-recording format are not compatible with Solaris.
