SYMPTOMSWhen you try to join a meeting in Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2005, the Live Meeting splash screen remains on the screen, and the Microsoft Windows-based meeting console does not start.CAUSEThis issue may occur when the security setting for the Internet zone in Microsoft Internet Explorer is set to High.RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue, change the security setting for the Internet zone in Internet Explorer to Medium. To do this, follow these steps: - Start Internet Explorer.
- On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
- On the Security tab, click Default Level.
- Click Apply.
- Click OK to close the Internet Options dialog box.
MORE INFORMATIONWhen the Internet zone in Internet Explorer is set to High, ActiveX controls and plug-ins are disabled. This prevents the Windows-based meeting console from starting.
