This article describes how to determine whether you have administrative rights or Power User rights on the local computer. If you have Administrator rights or Power User rights, you can install Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2005-related programs and plug-ins.

To determine whether you have administrative rights or Power User rights on the local computer, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, right-click My Computer, and then click Manage.
  2. In the Computer Management window, expand Local Users and Groups, and then click Groups.
  3. In the right pane, double-click Administrators. If your user account appears in the Members box, you are a member of the Administrators local group. Click Cancel.
  4. In the right pane, double-click Power Users. If your user account appears in the Members box, you are a member of the Power Users local group. Click Cancel.
If your user account does not appear in either of these groups, contact your Information Technology (IT) department to request that your user account be added to one of these groups.
