Use any one or more of the following methods to improve performance in Live Meeting 2005.
  • Delete the temporary Internet files in Microsoft Internet Explorer:
    1. Quit Internet Explorer.
    2. Click Start, click Run, type inetcpl.cpl, and then click OK.
    3. On the General tab, click Delete Files.
    4. Click OK.
  • Use the Repair command to update the current network connection:
    1. Click Start, click Run, type ncpa.cpl, and then click OK.
    2. Right-click the current network connection, and then click Repair.

  • Determine whether your Web browser is compatible with the Live Meeting server. To do this, visit the following Microsoft Web site:Note If your Web browser does not pass this test, follow the suggested configuration changes that are listed on the Check page. If you still cannot connect after you make the suggested configuration changes, contact your IT department for help.
  • Quit nonessential programs during your meeting. Nonessential programs that are running in the background can consume your computer's system resources.
  • Disable desktop visual effects in Microsoft Windows XP:
    1. Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
    2. On the Advanced tab, click Settings under Performance.
    3. On the Visual Effects tab, click Adjust for best performance.
    4. Click OK two times.
