SYMPTOMS
When you try to install your Microsoft keyboard, mouse, desktop set, or trackball software by using the Microsoft IntelliType software CD or the Microsoft IntelliPoint CD that was included with your device, the software is not installed. Additionally, you may receive an error message.CAUSE
This problem may occur if the product CD is defective.RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, use one of the following methods:

Download the latest software for your keyboard, mouse, desktop set, or trackball. To do this, visit the following Microsoft Web site:
- Contact Microsoft Supplemental and Replacement Parts to obtain a replacement CD at (800) 360-7561. Microsoft may ask you to fax a copy of the store receipt.
