Pocket Streets cannot use the Open Maps feature if maps are loaded on a Smartphone and not on a Storage card (894273)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to use the Open Maps feature in Microsoft Pocket Streets on a new version Microsoft Windows Mobile-based Smartphone, you may not be able to view the maps. If your map is stored on your Smartphone, you may receive the following error message:
NO maps Found.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, use one of the following methods.

Method 1: Use File Explorer to open the map

  1. Click Start, click Programs, and then click File Explorer.
  2. Locate and then click your map.
Note Your map will open as expected and the next time that you run Pocket Streets your map will open as expected. However, if you use the Open Maps feature your map and any other maps that are stored on your Smartphone will not open.

Method 2: Store your maps on a Storage card

If you save your maps on a Storage card, the Open Maps feature will operate as expected.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
