A slow memory leak occurs in the Dllhost.exe process when you use COMTI together with the REOverride feature in Host Integration Server 2000 (894261)

SYMPTOMS

A slow memory leak occurs in the Dllhost.exe process when you use COM Transaction Integrator (COMTI) together with the REOverride feature that is discussed in Microsoft Knowledge Base (KB) article 839038. The COMTI runtime will leak 8 bytes per COMTI method call.

RESOLUTION

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next Microsoft Host Integration Server 2000 service pack that contains this hotfix.
