SYMPTOMSWhen you try to print a document where you have attached an envelope in Microsoft Office Word 2003, the document does not print correctly. You may experience any one of the following symptoms: - The page that contains the envelope prints successfully. However, the page that contains the letter does not print at all, or it prints a blank page.
- The page that contains the envelope prints successfully. However, the page that contains the letter prints only on the left side of the paper.
CAUSEThis issue may be caused by the printer driver that is installed on your computer.RESOLUTIONTo correct this issue, contact your printer manufacturer for an updated printer driver. Method 1: Change the "Scale to paper size" optionTo change the Scale to paper size option when you print your letter, follow these steps: - Open the document that you want to print.
- Move the insertion point to the page that contains your letter.
- On the File menu, click Print.
- Under Zoom, click Letter in the Scale to paper size box.
- Under Page Range, click Current Page, and then click OK.
Method 2: Remove the envelopeTo remove the envelope from your document before you print the letter, follow these steps: - Open the document.
- On the Tools menu, click Options.
- On the View tab, click to select the All check box. Then, click OK.
- Use one of the following procedures:
- If the page that contains the envelope is at the end of your document, follow these steps:
- Move the insertion point to the start of the page that contains your envelope. Make sure that you position the insertion point where Section Break (Next Page) starts.
- Press CTRL+SHIFT+END to select the contents of the page that contains the envelope, and then press DELETE.
- If the page that contains the envelope is at the start of your document, follow these steps:
- Move the insertion point to the top of the page that contains your envelope. Make sure that you position the insertion point where Section Break (Next Page) starts.
- Press CTRL+SHIFT+HOME to select the contents of the page that contains the envelope, and then press DELETE.
- Print your letter.
