SYMPTOMSYou send an e-mail message in Microsoft CRM Sales for Outlook (the Outlook client) while you are offline. The e-mail contains an attachment that is 5 megabytes (MB) or larger. When you click Go Online, you receive the following error message: Data Synchronization Error. There is a problem communicating with the Microsoft CRM Server. This might happen if: you disconnected from the network, but are trying to perform an action that involves connecting to the server: you disconnected from the network without first going offline. WORKAROUNDAfter you click OK in the error message dialog box, Microsoft CRM prompts you to click one of the following options: - Proceed with going online, but save the data changes offline, for the next time you synchronize.
- Stay offline and try to fix the errors so all the data will synchronize.
- Finish going online and do not save the data changes made offline.
To work around this problem, click Proceed with going online, but save the data changes offline, for the next time you synchronize. You can ignore the error message. You will not lose any data, and the e-mail message with the attachment will be sent successfully.
