Error message that you receive when you start NetMeeting or a third-party conference program that was built by using the NetMeeting SDK: "CONF.EXE has generated errors and will be closed by Windows" (892394)

SYMPTOMS

When you start Microsoft NetMeeting, or when you start any third-party conference program that was built by using the Microsoft NetMeeting software development kit (SDK), you receive an error message that is similar to the following:
CONF.EXE has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program.
