Event 13506 is logged when you run the File Replication service in Windows 2000 (892345)

SYMPTOMS

When you run the File Replication service (FRS) in Microsoft Windows 2000, an assertion may occur. In this scenario, the FRS may stop responding (hang), and the following event is logged in the System event log:Event Type: Error
Event Source: NtFrs
Event Category: None
Event ID: 13506
Date: Date
Time: Time
User: N/A
Computer: ServerName
Description: The File Replication service failed a consistency check (CO_STATE_IS(ChangeOrder, IBCO_STAGING_REQUESTED) || CO_STATE_IS(ChangeOrder, IBCO_STAGING_RETRY)) in "ChgOrdDispatch:" at line 7203.
The File Replication service will restart automatically at a later time. If this problem persists a subsequent entry in this event log describes the recovery procedure.
For more information about the automatic restart right click on My Computer and then click on Manage, System Tools, Services, File Replication Service, and Recovery. Note You may not be able to restart the FRS.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because of an incorrect assert statement that causes the FRS to stop responding.
