After you install this hotfix, increase the time-out value for the Generic Service resource .dll file by using one of the following methods.
Method 1: Use Cluster Administrator
- Start Cluster Administrator.
- On the resource for which you want to change the Pending
Timeout setting, click Properties.
- In the Properties dialog box, click the
Advanced tab, and then increase the value for the Pending
Timeout setting.
Method 2: Modify the registry
Warning Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry
incorrectly by using Registry Editor or by using another method. These problems
might require that you reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot
guarantee that these problems can be solved. Modify the registry at your own
risk.
