The post-callout update event does not respond to the assign event in Microsoft Business Solutions CRM (891979)

In Microsoft Business Solutions CRM, the post-callout update event does not respond to the assign event.

When a record is assigned to a new Microsoft CRM user, you may expect that the post-callout update event occurs. However, the post-callout update event cannot be used to trap the assign event.

For example, suppose you use the post-callout to run custom code in response to the update event on account objects. Then, the user opens an account and changes its ownership by clicking the Actions menu and then clicking Assign. In the Confirm Assignment dialog box, the user selects Assign to another user.

In this scenario, you may expect that the custom code that is associated with the post-callout runs. However, the post-callout update event was not designed to respond to changes of ownership. The post-callout update event cannot be customized to respond to record reassignment.
