SYMPTOMSWhen you use Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003 Viewer to view a presentation, the animated text or animated objects do not change to the color that was specified in the "After animation" list in Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003. Additionally, the color scheme for the current slide that you are viewing in the viewer is different from the primary color scheme that was chosen in PowerPoint 2003 for the first slide master.CAUSEThis problem occurs when you view a Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003 presentation in the Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003 Viewer.
By design, the viewer ordinarily uses the primary color scheme that was specified in the first slide master instead of the one that was used in the "After animation" list for the animation effect.WORKAROUNDWhen you create the presentation, select a color from the "More Colors" list for the specific animation effect. To do this, follow these steps: - Start PowerPoint 2003.
- Open the PowerPoint presentation that contains the animated text or animated object. Then, click the animated text or animated object in the presentation.
- On the Slide Show menu, click Custom Animation.
- In the Custom Animation task pane, click Effect Options in the drop-down list for the animated text or animated object.
- Under Enhancements, click More Colors in the After animation drop-down list.
- Click the color that you want to use for the animation effect, and then click OK two times.
Note Follow these steps for each animation effect in your PowerPoint presentation. Use this Workaround if you are not making any additional changes to the color scheme or if you are not applying a different design to your slide. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.MORE INFORMATIONWhen you use the "Custom Animation" feature in Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003, you have the option to change the color of the animated text or animated object after the animation effect is completed.
Like other color menus in Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003, the "Custom Animation" feature includes the eight colors from the color scheme of the current slide, up to eight recently used other colors, and a "More Colors" list.
