If you use Outlook to move a message that has another message attached to the message to the public folder, you receive a "can't move items" error message in Exchange 2000 and in Exchange 2003 (891572)

SYMPTOMS

You are assigned the Contributor role in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server or Microsoft Exchange Server 2003. If you use Microsoft Outlook to move a message that has another message attached to the message to the public folder, you receive one of the following error messages:
  • Can't move items. You do not have sufficient permissions to perform this operation on this object. See the folder contact or your system administrator.
  • Can't move the items. The item could not be moved. It was either already moved or deleted, or access was denied.
Note By default, the Contributor role has Create Items permissions and Folder Visible permissions to the public folder in Exchange Server 2000 and Exchange Server 2003.
