You receive a warning message after you use the Create Device Settings Package Wizard to configure the Internet E-Mail Settings item in Systems Management Server 2003 (891364)

SYMPTOMS

You use the Create Device Settings Package Wizard to configure the Internet E-Mail Settings item in Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS) 2003. When you click OK to complete the configuration, you receive the following security risk warning message:
Warning: The user name and password are not secure. Anyone with authorization to run Mobile Deployment Manager or who has access to the media that contains the deployment package, can view this data. Do you want to continue?
Additionally, no field exists to enter the password in the Properties dialog box that contains the Internet E-Mail Settings item.

WORKAROUND

You can safely ignore this warning message. When you receive this message, click Yes to continue the Create Device Settings Package Wizard.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
