The Administrator console may unexpectedly quit when you try to add an action to an operating system package in SMS 2003 (891347)

SYMPTOMSIn Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS) 2003, if you ignore error messages as you use the Administrator console to try to add an action to an operating system package, the Administrator console may unexpectedly quit. When this problem occurs, you do not receive an error message about the problem. Changes that you have made to the program
properties are lost. This problem occurs when you try to add the following actions:
- (Custom)
- Capture User State
- Restore User State
CAUSEThis problem occurs because the error messages incorrectly allow you
to close the Add Action: Action Name dialog box and to continue to edit the package properties
without responding to the error messages.WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, click the
OK button in the error message before you close the Add Action: ActionName dialog box.STATUSMicrosoft
