SYMPTOMS
After you perform a sort operation on a column in the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1, the row header pointer of the
DataGrid control of a Microsoft Windows Forms based application points to a record that is not correct. Additionally, the update may occur on two different records when you change the value of one record. For example, the following grid is sorted by using the Merit column:
Employee Merit
A 10
B 20
C 30
D 40
E 50
When you update the Merit value for Employee C to 60, the row header pointer stays on the third record. Because of the sort condition, the record is moved to the end of the column. The problem occurs when you update the record for Employee D. The records for Employee C and Employee D are both updated.
