SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004, when you try to export an orchestration that contains a variable of type System.Xml.XmlDocument to a Business Process Execution Language (BPEL) file, the export is unsuccessful, and you receive the following error message:
error B1000: An internal error occurred in the export component. Additional Information: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. : Export failed.

RESOLUTION

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next BizTalk Server 2004 service pack that contains this hotfix.
