Xbox: Joining an Xbox Live game in Star Wars: Republic Commando (891037)

Star Wars: Republic Commando is an Xbox Live Aware title. This means that the game automatically signs you in to Xbox Live when the game starts.

Join a game

1. On the Main screen, press the directional pad (D-pad) up or down to select Multiplayer, and then press the A button.
2. On the Multiplayer screen, press the D-pad up or down to select Xbox Live, and then press the A button.
3. On the Xbox Live screen, press the D-pad up or down to select Quick Match or OptiMatch, and then press the A button.

Quick Match

With the Quick Match option, you can search for a game and then decide whether to join the game immediately or search for another game.

1. After you select Quick Match on the Xbox Live screen, the game immediately starts to search for a game to play.
   • If a game is found, the Lobby screen lists the game information. Press the A button to join the game.
   • If no game is found, you receive the following message: No matches found. Create new match?
2. Press the A button for Yes, or press the B button for No.

OptiMatch

With the OptiMatch option, you can specify your game preferences and then search for games that match those preferences.

1. After you select OptiMatch on the Xbox Live screen, you view the Select Game Type screen. On the Select Game Type screen, press the D-pad up or down to select from the following options:
   • All Game Types
   • Deathmatch
   • Team Deathmatch
   • Capture The Flag
   • Assault
   Press the A button to view the OptiMatch Options screen.
2. On the OptiMatch Options screen, press the D-pad up or down to select from the following options:
   • Min Players: 0 - 15
   • Max Players: 1 - 15
   • Only Dedicated: Off, On
   • Allow Friendly Fire: Off, On
   Press the D-pad left or right to select the setting that you want for each option, and then press the A button to search for a game.
3. If any games are found, press the D-pad up or down to select the game that you want to join, and then press the A button to join that game.
   
   If no games are found, you receive the following message: No matches found. Create new match?
4. Press the A button for Yes, or press the B button for No.
