Event ID 5720 is logged in the Application log after you remove an assembly in BizTalk Server 2004 (891015)

SYMPTOMS

After you remove an assembly from your Microsoft BizTalk Server Management database in Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004, the following event is logged in the Application log:
Event Type: Error

Event Source: BizTalk Server 2004
Event Category: BizTalk Server 2004
Event ID: 5720
Description: There was a failure executing the send pipeline: "Microsoft.BizTalk.DefaultPipelines.XMLTransmit" Source: "XML assembler" Send Port: "path\BizTalk Server Project\BizTalk Server Project\out\%MessageID%.xml" Reason: This Assembler cannot retrieve document specification by using this type: "string".
Note In BizTalk Server 2004, removing an assembly is also known as undeploying an assembly.

CAUSE

This problem occurs when you remove an assembly. BizTalk Server 2004 incorrectly removes .NET-type message parts for other unrelated assemblies.

RESOLUTION

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next BizTalk Server 2004 service pack that contains this hotfix.

Warning You cannot roll back this hotfix from the BizTalk Server environment. Therefore, make sure that you fully test this hotfix in a test environment before you apply this hotfix to a production environment. Do not try to use Add or Remove Programs to remove this hotfix because this does not roll back the database changes, and leaves the BizTalk Server environment in an inconsistent state.

Prerequisites

You must have BizTalk Server 2004 Service Pack 1 (SP1) installed before you install this hotfix.

Restart requirement

You do not have to restart your computer after you apply this hotfix.
