SYMPTOMS
When you try to monitor a non-Microsoft Windows-based computer by using a custom script in Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) 2005, you receive a Windows Scripting Host error message that is similar to the following:
Error: Generic failure
Code: 80041001
Source: SWbemObject
In this scenario, you may not receive an accurate
Last contact time timestamp for any non-Windows-based computers that you are monitoring through MOM 2005.
