Xbox: Joining an Xbox Live game in Need for Speed Underground 2 (890233)

Join a game

1. On the Main screen, press the directional pad (D-pad) left or right to select Xbox Live, and then press the A button.
2. Select the appropriate account to sign in to Xbox Live.
3. On the Xbox Live screen, press the D-pad left or right to select Quick Match or OptiMatch, and then press the A button.

Quick Match

With the Quick Match option, you can search for a game and then decide whether to join the game immediately or whether to search for another game. To use Quick Match, follow these steps:

1. Select Quick Match from the Xbox Live screen, and then press the D-pad up or down to select from the following race types:
   • Circuit
   • Sprint
   • Drag
   • Drift
   • Street X
   • URL Race
   • Outrun
2. After you select the game mode that you want, you receive the following message: Entering a game room will cancel any active voice chat sessions. You may also lose any unread messages and game sessions invites.
3. By default, OK is selected. Press the A button to search for a game to play.
4. If a game is found, the Lobby screen lists the game information. Press the A button to join the game.
   
   If no game is found, press the B button to return to the Xbox Live screen.

OptiMatch

With the OptiMatch option, you can specify your game preferences and then search for games that match those preferences. To use OptiMatch, follow these steps:

1. On the OptiMatch screen, press the D-pad up or down to select from the following options:
   • Game Mode: Circuit, Sprint, Drag, Drift, Street X, URL Race, Outrun
   • Car Performance Restrictions: None, Evenly Matched
   • Game Type: Ranked, Unranked
   • Race Breaker: Yes, No
   • Collision Detection: Yes, No
   Press the D-pad left or right to select the setting that you want for each option, and then press the A button to start searching for a game.
2. If any games are found, press the D-pad up or down to select the game that you want to join, and then press the A button to join that game.
   
   If no games are found, press the B button to return to the OptiMatch screen.
