Issues that the hotfix package fixes

This hotfix package fixes the following issue:
  • 884567 When you use pen functions while a custom program saves changes to a document, Word 2003 unexpectedly quits

This hotfix package also fixes the following issues that were not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
  • When you use Word 2003 to open a Microsoft Word 2000 document that contains a table with right-to-left text, some bookmarks that are contained in the table are either lost or are in an incorrect table cell. This issue occurs when the following conditions are true:
    • The bookmark is contained at the beginning of a table cell in the Word 2000 document.
    • The bookmark is of zero length. That is, the bookmark does not span any text.

Note This issue does not occur if the bookmark encloses text or if the bookmark is not at the beginning of a table cell.
  • When you remove a routing slip from a Word 2003 document, Mail Recipient (as Attachment) and Routing Recipient are not restored to the Send To menu.
