SYMPTOMS
The Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS) 2003 client push process does not install the Advanced Client on some SMS site servers. However, this symptom does not occur if the domain controller is assigned to the "PDC Emulator" operations master role (also known as flexible single master operations or FSMO). Additionally, one of the following errors appears in the Ccm.log file on the site server, where
Computer is the computer name of the SMS site server:
First attempt to copy file "C:\SMS\bin\I386\MobileClient.tcf" to
"\\Computer\admin$\system32\ccmsetup\MobileClient.tcf" failed (5)
Access denied error, but can't get attributes for file (5)

Installation instructions
To install this hotfix, follow these steps, where
xxx is ENU, ICP1, or ICP2:
- Create a new folder, and then copy the Sms2003-sp1-kb890193-x86-xxx.exe file to the new folder.
- Share the new folder that you created in step 1, and then make sure that your SMS site servers can access the new folder.
- On each SMS site server, log on as an administrator, and then connect to the folder that you created in step 1.
- Quit the SMS Administrator Console if it is running.
- Run the Sms2003-sp1-kb890193-x86-xxx.exe file, and then follow the instructions in the wizard.
