INTRODUCTIONThis article describes some of the things that you must do to configure Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server (SPS) 2003 to use the same security settings as existing Lotus Notes accounts.MORE INFORMATIONYou can configure SharePoint Portal Server 2003 to use the same security settings as the Lotus Notes database. To do this, you must associate the Lotus Notes accounts with individual Microsoft Windows security accounts. To do this, the Lotus Notes administrator must create a view in Lotus Notes that maps the Lotus Notes user accounts to the Windows user accounts. This view uses the Lotus Notes account name that is listed in the Owner column in the Lotus Notes address book. The view must be sorted on the Notes user name column.
Note You cannot map Lotus Notes group accounts to Windows security group accounts. This action is not supported in SharePoint Portal Server 2003.
