  • Microsoft ActiveSync

SYMPTOMS

Applications that try to connect to a server by using Microsoft ActiveSync desktop passthrough may fail after about 30 to 32 connections. This issue only occurs in ActiveSync 3.71 and 3.8.

If you are using the Winsock API, the Connect method fails with a "10061 WSAECONNREFUSED" error. If you are using the HttpWebRequest class, the HttpWebRequest class will fail and you will receive with an "Unable to connect to remote server" error message.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, remove the device from the cradle. Then, recradle the device.
