Microsoft distributes Microsoft SQL Server 2000 fixes as one downloadable file. Because the fixes are cumulative, each new release contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous SQL Server 2000 fix release.

Introduction

Issues that are fixed by this hotfix package

The following issue is fixed in this SQL Server 2000 hotfix package:
  • Under some circumstances, changes to a SQL Server 2000 database are not replicated to some replicas in a merge replication topology. This state is known as non-convergence.

    The Merge Agent opens multiple connections between the publisher and subscribers when it merges changes across replicas. This problem may occur if the primary connection to the publisher is disconnected.
