The Actual Work value for a project may appear as a zero (0) in Project 2003 (888638)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Office Project Professional 2003
- Microsoft Office Project Server 2003
- Microsoft Project Professional 2002
- Microsoft Project 2002
SYMPTOMSWhen you click Resource Usage on the View menu to view the Actual Work total for an Enterprise Resource in Microsoft Project Professional 2002 or in Microsoft Office Project Professional 2003, the Actual Work total may be less than expected.
For example, when you view the Actual Work values for all projects that are associated with an Enterprise Resource, the Actual Work values for projects that are closed in Project 2002 or in Project 2003 may appear as zero (0). This behavior occurs even when the Actual Worktotal that is reported in each project is more than zero (0).
CAUSEThis behavior occurs because Project 2002 and Project 2003 do not calculate the Actual Work values for projects that are closed.RESOLUTIONTo resolve this behavior, open all project files that are associated with the Enterprise Resource.
