FIX: Memory data may not match the contents of a memory-mapped file in Windows CE .NET 4.1 (888610)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Windows CE .NET 4.1

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Windows CE .NET 4.1, if an application accesses memory that is mapped to a memory-mapped file, the memory data may not match the actual contents of the file. If the application reads the same memory again, the correct file contents are read.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because memory data that is paged in from the memory-mapped file was not flushed from the cache before the memory data is accessed from the application.
