Issues that the hotfix package fixes

This hotfix package fixes the following issues. These issues were not previously documented in Microsoft Knowledge Base articles.
  • The value of the Turkish Lira (TL) is not displayed in the old TL format and in the New Turkish Lira (YTL) format in Windows SharePoint Services

Windows SharePoint Services displays the value of the Turkish Lira only in TL format. When you add a Currency column in Windows SharePoint Services, there is no option to configure the column so that the value of the Turkish Lira is displayed in the old TL format and in the new New Turkish Lira YTL format.

Note This is a global fix. The fix can be applied to any language version of Windows SharePoint Services. However, this fix only resolves this issue in the Turkish or English version of Windows SharePoint Services.

  • The Stsadm.exe command-line tool incorrectly reports that the restore operation was completed successfully

You use the Stsadm.exe command-line tool to restore a Web site collection in your server farm deployment of Windows SharePoint Services from backup. During the restore operation, unexpected behavior occurs. For example, a network error occurs, or the computer that is running Microsoft SQL Server is low on hard disk space or on resources. Therefore, the restore operation is not completed successfully. Only part of the content is restored. However, the Stsadm.exe command-line tool incorrectly reports that the restore operation was completed successfully.
  • A blank, white page is displayed in your Web browser when you attach a document to an announcement

Your Windows SharePoint Services Web site is hosted in a Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2003 portal site. You attach a document to an announcement in the Announcements list in your Windows SharePoint Services Web site. When you click Save and Close, a blank, white page is displayed in your Web browser. The document is not uploaded to Windows SharePoint Services, and you do not receive an error message.

This problem occurs if the document that you attach is larger than 50 megabytes (MB). The maximum size of documents that you can upload in Windows SharePoint Services is 50 MB. Windows SharePoint Services does not display an error message to notify you that the document exceeds the maximum size.

Note You may have to modify the connection timeout settings in Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) 6.0 after you apply this hotfix to address this issue. For more information about how to do this, see the "Additional notes" topic in the "Hotfix file information" section.
  • You cannot delete a Windows SharePoint Services Web site that contains more than 2 gigabytes of data

You cannot delete a Windows SharePoint Web site if the Web site contains more than 2 gigabytes (GB) of data. When you try to delete the Web site, you receive an error message that is similar to the following:
There is no Web named /Sites/SitePrefix
