SYMPTOMSWhen you try to change the Cache property of your Secure Digital storage device in Device Manager in Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2), the change has no affect. For example, this scenario occurs when you use the Policies tab of the device's Properties dialog box to change from the Optimize for quick removal option to the Optimize for performance option. CAUSEThis problem occurs because Windows XP SP2 incorrectly reveals the Cache property of a Secure Digital storage device as a user-changable feature.
