SYMPTOMS

In the products that are listed in the "Applies to" section, when you configure Microsoft Plus! Dancer or Windows Dancer to start dancing when music plays, the dancer may not start as expected. You may also receive an error message that is similar to one of the following.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if one of the following conditions is true:
  • Your sound card is not configured correctly.
  • The sound card that is installed in your computer is not compatible with Plus! Dancer or Windows Dancer.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, use the method that is appropriate for your version of the program.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue in any version of Dancer, manually start Dancer. To manually start Dancer, right-click the Dancer icon in the notification area on the task bar, and then click Start Dancing.
