PowerPoint 2004 for Mac

To play a sound continuously during a presentation in PowerPoint 2004 for Mac, follow these steps:
  1. Start PowerPoint 2004 for Mac, and then open the file that contains the sound that you want to play.
  2. On the slide where you inserted the sound, click the sound to select it.

    Note The sound will start to play on the slide where you inserted it. To play a sound continuously in a presentation, insert the sound on Slide 1.
  3. On the Slide Show menu, click Custom Animation.
  4. Click the sound that you want to play continuously, and then click Effect Options.
  5. On the Timing tab on the Effect Options: Play screen, click Until End of Slide in the Repeat box.
  6. On the Media Options tab under Stop playing, click After, type the number of slides that you want to appear before the sound stops, and then click OK two times.
  7. On the Slide Show menu, click View Show, and then verify that the presentation is configured correctly.

PowerPoint X for Mac

To play a sound continuously during a presentation in PowerPoint X for Mac, follow these steps:
  1. Start PowerPoint X for Mac, and then open the file that contains the sound that you want to play.
  2. On the slide where you inserted the sound, click the sound to select it.

    Note The sound will start to play on the slide where you inserted it. To play a sound continuously in a presentation, insert the sound on Slide 1.
  3. On the Slide Show menu, point to Animations, and then click Custom.
  4. On the Options tab under Stop playing, click After, and then type the number of slides that you want to appear before the sound stops.
  5. Click to select the Loop until stopped check box, and then click OK.
  6. On the Slide Show menu, click View Show, and then verify that the presentation is configured correctly.
