Your Windows Messenger session is not restored after you resume from standby in Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 (887274)

SYMPTOMS
When you resume your Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005-based computer from standby, the Windows Messenger session that was open in Media Center is not restored in the Media Center user interface (UI). You receive no additional communications in the Windows Messenger UI in Media Center.
WORKAROUND
Use one of the following methods to restore the Windows Messenger session:
- On the remote, press DETAILS. Select Messenger, and then select the contact name from your Windows Messenger session.
- In Media Center, click More Programs, click Messenger, and then select the contact name from your Windows Messenger session.
- In Media Center, right-click the Media Center window, click Messenger, and then select the contact name from your Windows Messenger session.
- Minimize Media Center, and then open the Windows Messenger window in the Windows UI.
