Media Center Setup Wizard scans channels that you do not receive when you try to set up Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 (887203)

SYMPTOMS

When you use the Media Center Setup Wizard in Microsoft Windows Media Center Edition 2005, the wizard tries to scan a channel that you do not receive Digital TV broadcasts on. This problem occurs when you use the Adjust Digital TV Antenna and Choose Channel page of the Digital TV Signal section of the wizard.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the Media Center Setup Wizard does not use an existing program guide when the Adjust Digital TV Antenna and Choose Channel page tries to tune channels from your television signal.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, click to clear the check box next to the channel that you do not receive a television signal on.
