Resume or Restart options appear when you switch to full-screen mode while you watch a video in Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 (886957)

SYMPTOMS

If you maximize the Media Center window while you are watching a video file in My Videos in Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005, the Resume or Restart options may appear momentarily while the screen is redrawing.

This problem does not occur when you watch a DVD movie.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because of limitations in DirectX.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
