SYMPTOMS

When you try to transcode your video production in Adobe Premiere Pro as a Moving Pictures Experts Group 2 (MPEG-2) file, the .mp2 file is not transcoded. Either Adobe Premiere Pro or your Microsoft Windows XP-based computer may stop responding (hang).

CAUSE

This problem may occur after you update your computer to Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2).

To correct this issue, the following file is available for download from the Microsoft Download Center:
