The Exchange 2003 Management Pack Configuration Wizard may crash when the "Message Tracking" option is turned on (886690)

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 and in Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) 2005, if you run Exchange 2003 Management Pack Configuration Wizard when the Message Tracking option is turned on, the Exchange 2003 Management Pack Configuration Wizard may crash.

Additionally, you may receive an "Exception Text" error message that is similar to the following:

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, install the latest version of Exchange 2003 Management Pack Configuration Wizard.
