SYMPTOMSWhen you browse a Web site that uses Shift-JIS character encoding in Microsoft Internet Explorer, some double-byte character set (DBCS) characters may appear corrupted. For example, the character may appear as a dot or bullet point.CAUSEThis problem may occur if you do either of the following: - You install Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2).
