SYMPTOMSIn Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004, when you use SQLXML mapping schemas, you may receive an error message in the Event Log that is similar to the following: Event Type: Warning Event Source: BizTalk Server 2004 Event Category: BizTalk Server 2004
Event ID: 5740
Date: 8/24/2004
Time: 3:52:45 PM
User: N/A
Computer: BIZTALK2004
Description:
The adapter "SQL" raised an error message. Details "HRESULT="0x80040e14" Description="Invalid column name 'UnderName'. "
?<Root xmlns:ns00="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:xml-updategram"><?MSSQLError HResult="0x80040e14" Source="Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server" Description="Invalid column name 'UnderName'."?></Root>".
CAUSEThis issue occurs because BizTalk Server 2004 does not support this SQLXML feature, even though we recommend it in the "Best Practices for Using the SQL Adapter" topic in the BizTalk Server 2004 documentation. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue, use the BizTalk Server 2004 mapping system. In the orchestration setup, create a BizTalk map between the input schema and a SQLXML updategram schema that does not reference any external mapping file.
