The VideoWriteTest application may quit unexpectedly on some Windows Media High Definition Video (WMV HD) DVDs (886460)

SYMPTOMS

In some system configurations, the VideoWriteTest application that is included with some Microsoft Windows Media High Definition Video (WMV HD) DVDs may quit unexpectedly. The VideoWriteTest application runs automatically, in the background, when you insert a WMV HD DVD in the DVD drive.

WORKAROUND

If you close the error message box, the DVD content plays as expected. This problem does not affect the usability of the WMV HD DVD.
