Windows Storage Server 2003 WebUI does not display all the events that are logged in the System log (886391)

SYMPTOMS

Microsoft Windows Storage Server 2003 WebUI sometimes does not display all the events that are logged in the System log.

For example, WebUI may not report the removal or failure of a hard disk drive that is reported by the Logical Disk Manager (LDM) and by events in the System log.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, use storage disk management warnings, error notifications, system event logs, and disk drive LED indicator lights for notification of removal or failure of a hard disk drive.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
