You cannot uncapture a CD without ejecting the CD from the physical computer in Virtual PC for Mac Version 7 (886380)

SYMPTOMS

When you click Eject Disc on the Drives menu in Microsoft Virtual PC for Mac Version 7, the CD is ejected from your Mac computer. When you click Eject Disc in earlier versions of Virtual PC for Mac, the CD is uncaptured from the virtual machine, but the CD is not ejected from the physical computer.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, press the OPTIONS key, click Drives, and then click Uncapture disc. The CD is uncaptured from the virtual machine, but the CD remains mounted on the physical computer.
