Performance is slow after you start a disk image in Virtual PC for Mac Version 7 (886374)

SYMPTOMSWhen you start a disk image in Microsoft Virtual PC for Mac Version 7, performance may be slow.CAUSEThis problem may occur if you imported the disk image from an earlier version of Virtual PC for Mac to Virtual PC for Mac Version 7. When you import a disk image, Virtual PC for Mac Version 7 allocates 256 megabytes (MB) of RAM to the image. By default, universal serial bus (USB) support and networking support are also enabled.RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, follow these steps: - Start Virtual PC for Mac Version 7.
- Click the disk image, and then click Settings.
Note The disk image must be in a Not Running state to change the settings. - Under Current Settings, click PC Memory, and then type the total RAM that you want to allocate to the disk image in the Total RAM in PC box.
- Under Current Settings, click Networking, and then click the options that you want under Network Settings.
- Under Current Settings, click USB, click the options that you want under USB Settings, and then click OK.
