When you click "Switch to Edit Site," the Web page is refreshed, but the page does not change to edit mode in MCMS 2002 (886281)

SYMPTOMSWhen you click Switch to Edit Site on a published posting in Microsoft Content Management Server (MCMS) 2002 to create content, the page is refreshed, but the page does not switch to edit mode from live mode. The Web Author console is also not displayed.
Note You must have rights to edit the published posting.CAUSEThis problem may occur after you install a hotfix or a service pack that updates or replaces the JavaScript code that is used in the Web Author console. Microsoft Internet Explorer may be using an earlier version of the JavaScript code that is stored in the file cache.
Note This problem may also occur if you have selected Never under Check for newer version of stored pages in the Internet Explorer Settings dialog box.RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, clear the Internet Explorer file cache. To do this, follow these steps: - Click Start, point to Programs, and then click Internet Explorer.
- On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
- Under Temporary Internet files, click Delete Files, and then click OK.
- In the Internet Options dialog box, click OK.
