DVD movies are always played in Media Center in Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 (886254)

SYMPTOMS
The first time that you insert a DVD movie into the DVD drive of your Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition-based computer, the Autoplay dialog box prompts you about what you want Windows to do. If you select Play DVD Video Using Media Center, the DVD plays in Media Center.
However, if you then quit Media Center and select a different program in the Autoplay dialog box, the DVD still plays in Media Center. The DVD always plays in Media Center even if you select a different program in the Autoplay dialog box.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, restart your computer.
